Mr. Knapp concentrates his practice in commercial litigation and municipal law. He has served on the Livonia City Council since 2002. As a result of his re-election in 2005, he will serve as the City Council Vice President from 2006 - 2007. Mr. Knapp is currently the Chair of the Finance, Insurance and Budget Committee and also serves as a member of the Legislative Committee as well as the Water, Sewer, and Waste Committee.  He is a past chair and member of the University of  Michigan-Dearborn Alumni Society, as well as a member of the Livonia Kiwanis, Livonia Jaycees, Monaghan Knights of Columbus, and the Livonia Chamber of Commerce. In addition to earning his J.D. from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University, Mr. Knapp is also a graduate of the University of Michigan Dearborn and Detroit Catholic Central.
